In 2002, Impala was retained by Citibank as portfolio manager for Ponderosa Assets, L.P. and Sundance Assets, L.P. (“Rawhide”), one of the largest Enron SPVs. Impala operated and oversaw the sale of 22 operating energy companies from around the world. Impala worked with the operating companies in several countries, including Argentina, Brazil, and the Philippines. As a result of strategic improvements and well-timed strategic sales, Impala realized gains of several hundred million dollars more than Enron internal estimates.
